My tour of downtown Minneapolis, began with the Metrodome, where I began my videos of the Hiawatha Line, light rail.
My sister led the way down to developement along the river, including the old theater and stone arch bridge. the city was a exporter of grain so there are a lot of grain silos.
Our tour (walk) brought us back to the county Government center. This area is very impressive, with nice structures including the Victorian court house.
As you know I love skylines.
Minneapolis has its share of public art. The first set is on the bike path and I was not sure if it was tag art or planned by the city. The second was a set on a wall at Riverside light rail station.

The title day 2 is deceptive, it is my second full day following a day of train riding. Day 2 is the second full day. From Newark, I now fly to Minneapolis for a long visit with my sister and family. What better thing to do during the wait is to sit in the terminal and watch the Newark Airport AirTrain, making its way around the airport:

I returned to Newark via NY Penn Station. In all I got pictures and video of all but one item of equipment. Funny thing, The Silver Star the day before, was pulled by it. I arrived back in Newark and took the chance to hope to get a view. Two Acelas and a NJT commuter was very soon seen but not the equipment I wanted to see.

I joke that I went to JFK Airport to watch trains. As funny it might be, it is true. First stop is Jamaica Station on the Long Island Railroad. Since the amount and type of traffic made keeping up with trains, I give only equipment.
I went to the airport to watch trains, Air Train, that is:

After a little time wandering around Exchange place, I thought that a ride on the Light Rail north, would be nice. The north trip would give me perspective of where to stop on the way back. So to Port Imperial and some nice views of the skyline (remember I love skylines).
I rode back to Lincoln Harbor.
And what train watcher would not thrill about arrival at Hoboken Terminal. I made one mistake there. I did not photograph the inside of the station.
